Need an experienced fashion designer to design a uniform
Bouchée is a new pastry cafe concept in Cairo, Egypt that serves artisanal, handmade pastries, bakeries, and chocolates. Were looking for a fashion designer that will be able to create unique and contemporary chef uniforms for our brand. Our chefs will be interacting daily with the customers so its important for us that our uniforms reflect our brand identity. Were looking for a unique, professional, clean, and comfortable design.
Deliverables:
.Proposal of ideas and directions
.Final mockups for each uniform item
.A pattern/cut sheet for each uniform item, to be able to produce/execute them
Uniforms:
.Head chef uniform (in each section)
.Pastry uniform
.Chocolate uniform
.Bakery uniform
We want to focus on high-grade fabric, materials, and finishing.
We want to be able to differentiate our 3 sections (boulangeries, chocolatier, patisserie).
Boulangeries - mainly white because they’ll be working with a lot of flour
Chocolatier - a base uniform and a color near chocolate apron to use when needed
Patisserie - Up to you
The differences have to be slight, we don’t want them to look like different uniforms.
We want to steer away from using patterns and instead use accents and outlines when needed with different fabrics and materials.
Keep the use of color to a minimum- we want to convey minimalism, cleanliness, and professionalism and focus on the color of the product instead of what the chefs are wearing.
Our chefs are passionate and they work for really long hours, we’re looking for a design that is highly breathable and comfortable.
Each section has a head chef that should be easily identifiable through their uniform.
We want something fresh, hip, clean, and professional.
Find attached some ideas we had but feel free to re-mix them and come up with your own proposal.
