If you love everything about fashion, you might want to consider starting a career in the industry. There are a number of different avenues to take that can fit the tastes and needs of almost any type of individual. So whether you're shy and never want to be in the public eye, or you would rather have all the eyes set on you, there is sure to be a career path that is perfect for you and your needs.

Fashion Modeling

Modeling is one of the most obvious of options in the industry. Not everyone can be a model but thanks to the many different niches now on the market, the industry is always looking for different features in a model. You don't have to be a super tall, super attractive person in order to score a job as a model, you just have to find the right niche to work in.

Fashion Designing

Designing the stuff that all those models wear is hard work, but it can really pay off. This is especially true if you can catch the eye of someone famous. Look at all of the designers that have been brought into the public eye thanks to a few celebrities that enjoyed their designs. There is quite a bit of money to be made here, especially if you're particularly good at the job.

Fashion Merchandising

There are a number of different functions you can choose in the merchandising niche. You might choose to be a buyer, in which you'll help to buy designer clothing for the store you happen to be working for. You can be a sales representative and make an hourly income plus bonuses. There are jobs in management as well, which is a good place to start if you'd like to really make your way up the ladder. You can even score a job as an event planner which is a fun way to spend your days.

There are a number of specific jobs under all of these umbrellas so it's a good idea to explore the different opportunities in your particular area. If there aren't any and you are serious about getting into the fashion industry, then consider moving to a place that is notorious for it. New York, Los Angeles, and even San Francisco are all good options. Atlanta is another fine option if you want a more low key place to live.

Europe is another place where you can thrive in the industry if you're alright with some adventure. You'll find plenty of schools to choose from if you'd like degree or a certificate in a particular field. You can even find online courses that can be taken in your free time so that you can fit it between all of your other obligations. This is a great industry to get into and depending on your specific goals and dreams, your job can be one of the most rewarding things you do in your life.

What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
